With over 25 years of teaching experience, Jimmy Lane has inspired hundreds of young drummers across Connecticut and beyond. Starting his own drum journey at the age of 12, Jimmy understands how to connect with kids at their level — making lessons fun, interactive, and meaningful.

Drums InstructorJimmy studied under legendary drum educator Ray Alexander, whose teaching lineage traces directly back to Buddy Rich, one of the greatest drummers of all time.
This foundation allows Jimmy to give students not only the right techniques but also a connection to drumming history that makes learning extra special.
But Jimmy’s teaching isn’t just for beginners or kids. Many of his students are adults who come to him with years of playing under their belt, eager to sharpen their skills, expand their musical vocabulary, or rediscover their passion for drumming.
